We were in the desert, on the steps of a half-buried temple, although from what he said I believe he was seeing the landscape as something else entirely. He looked well; he said that he's all right, and that he's waiting.
I asked him to forgive me for the ways in which I failed him, and he said that he did. And he sent me back.
