Private message to Barty
Called to Court, for private audience with Our Lord. I am to be honoured with the position of Headmaster, to ensure the ferreting out of the slightest scraps of heterodoxy and treason that may have crept in to the curriculum while His attention was elsewhere.
I am of course delighted for the chance to be of service and entirely certain I will be able to integrate the necessary work into my already complex schedule without difficulty. Possibly I will first need to develop new methods of control over space and time, but that shan't take more than a week or two, I imagine.
This is not yet public -- not that I think you will go telling tales out of turn, but I will need to handle matters with at least a modicum of delicacy. Step one: find a way to inform Septima Vector that she has been passed over for the position. Step two: hope she is not in league with Snape and decides to poison my tea.
I will almost certainly be spending the night at Auri's temporary refuge; she is still suffering the effects of the broken bond. If you are free tomorrow afternoon I am planning on an extensive library search for our other impossible task; I would welcome your company.
